Jane Crowley is a successful businesswoman, self-employed for 20 years, her family made a significant investment in, and owns and operates, Dirty Janes an iconic Southern Highlands shopping experience. Best described as an antiques, collectables and gifts emporium with a tearoom, Dirty Janes is home to many small business stall holders and is located in the heart of Bowral. Some locals are regular shoppers at Dirty Janes and many locals take visiting friends and family in for a unique experience. Jane has recently expanded the Southern Highlands concept by opening a Canberra site.

Jane attended school in the Southern Highlands and along with her husband Bob, and three children, has been a longtime resident of Bowral. She has extensive small business and management experience and formal qualifications in Communications, specialising in Organisational Communications. Jane is passionate about the wellbeing and prosperity of the Southern Highlands community and Chairs the Community Strategic Working Group for the Southern Highlands Key Stakeholders Group.

The main motivation for Jane deciding to nominate as a candidate for the upcoming election was her ongoing exasperation and frustration of a lack of commitment by council to economic development, no plan in existence 2016 to 2020, and watching the dysfunction of council frequently and embarrassingly reported in the media, and the ongoing reports of capital works budget blowouts which involves the mismanagement of ratepayers funds. Her small business mindset is to identify a problem and fix it. In this case the fix involves positively changing the leadership and culture of council. Jane wants an end to self-interest and incompetence and for respect and dignity to be restored for the benefit of the community.

Jane is ready to serve.
